Partner André Marques Gilberto was a speaker in a podcast on August 26, 2016, with Jay Lenive, partner in the Washington DC office of Porter Wright, about the current developments of the Brazilian antitrust system. Among other matters discussed in the podcast, are the new regulations issued by CADE (the Brazilian antitrust authority) regarding notices on transactions subject to antitrust clearance, the stricter criteria for the assessment of “gun jumping” cases, an overview of the leniency agreements and the criteria used by CADE to investigate and sanction violations to free competition, such as cartels.
